OctoCube — workspace booking concept
Mobile app
OctoCube was TIG's own startup concept, born out of a very COVID-specific problem: knowing who was actually in the office, and where. What started as a single booking app grew into three connected pieces: the app itself, OctoCentral, a small touch-device fixed to each desk for checking in and adjusting it on the spot, and a marketing site to bring the whole concept to market.
There was a compliance angle running underneath all of it too. Dutch labor law requires employers to provide ergonomically sound workstations for every employee, an obligation that doesn't disappear with hot-desking, if anything it gets harder, since the same shared desk now needs to fit a different person every day. OctoCube's calibrate-once, auto-adjust approach was built around that: scan your card once to set your ideal desk and seat height, and every cube you book adjusts to match automatically.
